C.Wayman Floral & Events is a collaborative venture between Cathy Wayman and her daughter, Catherine. With two unique perspectives, they work in unison- brainstorming, designing, planning, dreaming, and finishing each other’s sentences. They aim to create meaningful detailed events while enjoying the opportunity to work with each other.

C.Wayman Floral & events originally formed in 2000 as Bouquets. Since then, their work has been featured both in print and online in such publications as Southern Bride, Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, and Alabama Weddings. 


Our Team

Cathy and Catherine have surrounded themselves with a small team of designers, planners, and stylists who have become family. Their individual talents and personalities are the reason why each event is so special. C.Wayman Floral & Events contribute their success to developing each other's creativity while building lasting relationships. Much of their best work is created over a glass of wine with lots of laughter! 



My love of flowers grew at a very young age helping my mother arrange flowers for the house, church, and friends. Now, over twenty years later, we have combined our mutual passion for design and work together side by side at our dream business.

As a graduate of Hotel and Restaurant Management at Auburn University in 2007, I learned the importance of customer service, and grew my desire to serve others in the Hospitality Industry. My career began with Hyatt Hotels in Carmel, California and San Antonio, Texas. I then worked as a Catering Manager, Wedding Planner, and Floral Designer running a Special Event Facility, The Carraway-Davie House in Birmingham, AL. However, one of my most valuable experiences in my career was serving as the Operations Manager for an International Sales Training Company, ASLAN Training & Development in Atlanta, Georgia. There, I was strengthened beyond my comfort zone, learned the importance of investing in people, and developed my business skills.

All of this led me to have the courage to join my mother as a small business owner and combine my joy for design, weddings, and service together. I have truly been blessed to be a part of hundreds of weddings and events over the years and to serve a large variety of clients. 

I received professional training in floral design at The Flower School of New York, and an internship with renowned Belle Fleur New York. I serve as the floral design and wedding planning expert for Scarlet and Gold Lifestyle Channel, freelance for industry leader's like Accent Decor, and teach floral design classes in the southeastern area.

Psalm 90:17 is painted in our shop as a prayer; “Let the Beauty of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands.” It is now my prayer to share my passion for flowers through teaching and mentoring. My hope is that I can help others develop their talents and enjoy the beauty of the Lord as much as I do.



My passion for beauty began when I was surrounded by beautiful places and things in my childhood. I was exposed to creativity and craftsmanship demonstrated by my father who was an artist, a woodworker, and an architect. I have fond memories of my grandmother who grew beautiful chrysanthemums in her greenhouse to show and share.

I learned the importance of sharing beauty with others, giving your time, talents and abilities to serve others and glorify God. This now extends to my business where our approach considers the entire table, environment, and atmosphere of the space. This is integral in creating a truly beautiful and thoughtful event for each client.

My training includes the Flower School New York studying under Remco Van Vliet, Ariella Chezer, Lewis Miller, and Olivier Giugni. Additionally, I have enjoyed private sessions with Francoise Weeks and former White House designer, Laura Dowling.

Throughout my 20 years of experience, I have had the opportunity to design for governors, dignitaries, prestigious institutions, and friends and family alike.
